Hush@US Embassy SingaporeTEDx Singapore: The Undiscovered Country | 6-7 Nov 2015
Nanyang Auditorium, Nanyang Technological University | 6-7 November 2015

Another first for Hush! Hush was invited to be showcased as part of the TEDx Experience at its biggest event to-date to celebrate Singapore's 50th Anniversary themed The Undiscovered Country. Over 1,200 participants attended the event.

The TEDx curatorial team liked the Hush concept from the talk that Anthea (Hush's funder) gave at the invitation-only audition round. Though Anthea was not eventually selected to speak at the final event, we are deeply grateful to still be part of the TEDx conversations.

The other first! We were game for the challenge of creating hush amidst the electrifying TEDx buzz - disposable ear plugs rock!! :D We most definitely pushed our creativity to the edge with the Hush Experience when we created an 'oasis' of silence and awareness (with mats and cushions from home), with the help of the ear plugs.

The 3rd first! We offered Hush as a retail experience for the first time since we launched. Guests could just order a cup of TeaMood of their choice by signing or go for the teaser Hush experience which included elements of the full Hush journey e.g selecting TeaMoods, learning TeaRituals through sign, appreciate the tea in awareness and silence, make TeaArt with tea ink and wrapping up with penning a MoodNote of their experience. We had equal number of guests going for both offerings.

We also fielded our biggest team of TeaRistas to-date - the worlds of hearing and non-hearing came together in the most guided, yet so natural, setting. Moved us immensely.

There were many unexpected conversations, inspiring ideas and energising connections made.

A Silent TeaBar. From Rush to Hush. For a Better World. An idea worth brewing.
